Welcome
All my life I´ve been waiting for
I´ve been praying for
For the people to say
That we don´t wanna fight no more
They´ll be no more wars
And our children will play
- Matisyahu
If you have read any of my other blogs you probably know by now that there is not a religious bone in my body. I’m unable to see today’s religion as anything but a form of control. An attempt to mold a person into another’s beliefs in order to fulfill their own insecurities. Unable to live as who they truly are but live in the shadow of someone else. Arguing over what is truth, who is right and who is wrong, creating the energy of continuous wars.
But why this story? Why does it resonate with so many people at such a deep-rooted level? The Bible, the Quran, the Torah, I think they are all telling the same story? But then why do they create such a deep separation and hatred we have towards each other?
With the Middle East offering few locations to safely explore, Jordan has always been in the back of my mind. And when I found out that Blue Morpho and my Shaman were heading there it did not take long for me to book my flights. I was looking to view religion with new eyes and explore the question of why this story? [Begin the Jordan journey]
